"Essence" is an original oil painting inspired by Brianna Voron’s evening walks around her old neighborhood. Many of Voron’s nocturnes are loosely rendered from very dark and blurry photographs taken on her iPhone. She prefers to paint more from her memory and what it felt like to be there in that moment. In low light, the human eye is capable of seeing so much better than any camera can capture.
